Today is Mother's Day in Ireland. For the past few weeks, the boys have been building things out of mega blocks and telling me, "Here Mom, I made this for you for Mother's Day!". I was a bit confused about why they were talking about Mother's Day so much when it is actually a couple of months away (and how would they know that?). Anyway, they have been working on some lovely things for me at school:

My sister-in-law is visiting us and we decided to spend the day at Powerscourt, an old estate with beautiful gardens in County Wicklow. We took my parents there in October, and both visits were lots f fun with great weather.

I always look for headline quotes that have something to do with the posting, usually with a specific idea in mind. Today I was looking for a quotes about motherhood, the joys and privilege of motherhood, etc. But I came across this quote, and I really liked it. It reminds me of what I can not control and that there are some things that I have to let go, and to accept and enjoy my kids everyday for who they are. (they make it easy so far). I am also thinking about my mother-in-law, who has such a huge effect on my husband in such a short time. I often wish that she was here to see what a great job that she did. And of course I think of my own mom. Although we talk often, I know that she can't possibly see all of the great things that she continues to do that make me a better person and mother. Thanks Mom!
